“Sometimes The Effect Is Like This.”
A singular phenomenon occurred in Winchester just before sunset Tuesday evening. About 100 feet from the earth the air was filled with luminous balls, apparently two to three feet in diameter and of the appearance of huge soap bubbles. They appeared to gather in clusters and then separate, all the time keeping up a slow and graceful motion, and were variegated with blue, red, green, and every known color. The phenomenon was witnessed by numbers of people and has caused considerable excitement in Winchester. - Winneconne Local.
