Message: “It was around 12:30 Am about a year ago, 2019. My front door was open about 6 inches and I was on the sofa watching TV with my cat when all of a sudden my cat looked at the door curiously and alert to a sound outside. Having many wild animals around including skunks and coyote, I cautiously went to the door and slowly went out, startled to see a mob of (small) kangaroos or possibly wallabies (because of their size). Some were running past, some had stopped to graze. One looked right at me as it stood on the back legs. I estimate it to have been 2 1/2 to 3 foot high, for they were all around the tree which is only about ten feet from the gate of my patio, which is also only about ten feet from the front door to the gate where I was watching them. Another one that took interest in me and who seemed to be more concerned about all the others grazing and its mob-mates who hurried on through also seemed to assess my presence. It was then I decided to rush (which I believe startled them) into the house to get my camera but when I got back out the door they were gone.”
