“Sea Serpent Has Sheep's Head On Body Of Eel"

Evansville, WI- Vancouver, B.C. - A nameless marine creature about six feet long, having an eel-like body and a head resembling that of a sheep, was on display at provincial police headquarters here as evidence of the existence of a "sea monster" which many people have reported seeing in Lake Okanogan, in the interior of British Columbia.

The strange creature was caught by the young son of Harry Alexander, Vancouver magistrate, while trolling on the lake.

Tales of the appearance of a monster in the lake have been coming from there for two years.

“Historic Cryptid Headlines” showcases actual articles involving cryptids that were published within United States newspapers back in the 1800’s-1900’s. The articles posted here are written exactly as they appeared during their original publishing date.
