Episode 10: Cryptids in Art, Hopkinsville Goblins, Aliens and MUFON secrets, Flying Humanoids, Ghosts and more Ghosts, Children and the Paranormal, and a Giant Owl from Connecticut.

The new year is here and we decided that the only way we could do 2019 right, is by talking to the premiere Fortean researchers in the Midwest, Tobias and Emily Wayland of The Singular Fortean Society. And let me just say, talk we did! This conversation covers everything from the way cryptid creatures are represented in the art world, all the way to a giant owl sighting direct from Connecticut. In between those topics we cover ghosts, aliens, MUFON, overall strange phenomena at the Ringling Mansion, how children comprehend the strange and bizarre, personal encounters with the unknown, and discuss why, strangely, no ghosts are ever seen wearing JNCO jeans.

This is a 2hr conversation that is not to be missed as both Emily and Tobias bring the knowledge and research credibility to the microphone and offer the kind of insight that only those truly passionate about this strange Fortean world can bring.

Your first month of the 2019 wont be complete until you spend it with both The PBI and The Singular Fortean Society!

*Note: around the 1hr mark, some short sections of audio slightly overlap each other. This is due to a technical glitch in the recording software during the original audio capture. This in no way takes away from the quality of the conversation, it just makes a few areas slightly difficult to understand.

Episode 9: The Return of the CryptoDenMom! Also in this episode: Lake Monsters, Eating Weird Things, Janesville Murder House, Ghost Marriage & Horses, Tulpas, and Santa Claus

Christmas has come early to the ears of all that listen to episode 9 for one special reason, the CryptoDenMom has returned to partake in a great 2hr conversation on all things strange! So get a full plate of cookies, pour yourself a cold glass of milk, and settle in to listen as we talk about Lake Monsters and the strange places they call home, why Giant Turtles would be terrifying to encounter out in the open as well as in a zoo, and some of the strange things we have eaten so far in our lives. Also included in this very easy flowing conversation is the history and legend of Janesville, Wisconsin’s very first murder and public execution, the history of both Ed Gein and the “LilMiss” case, what we think of Ghost Marriages and those who claim to be reincarnated horses, and even the possibility of Santa Claus being a Tulpa!

This episode helps end 2018 on a high note and leaves the Fortean door wide open for all the 2019 weirdness to walk on through! Happy Holidays everyone!

Episode 8: The Lake Pepin Monster, Kill or No Kill, Mount St. Helens Bigfoot Bodies, The Puca, Thylacines, Haunchyville, and a Snake that Pukes Snakes

For episode 8 of the podcast, we turned to our stately neighbor to the west, Minnesota. Within its cold borders we digitally hiked to the middle of nowhere where we met up with researcher and investigator, Nash Hoover. With out two Midwestern accents going strong, we talked about anything and everything. The conversation started fine with his show ‘Chasing Legends’, but somehow took a weird turn down a path which brought up subjects such as dead Bigfoot bodies on Mount St. Helens, a snake in the Minnesota River that somehow has the ability to puke up other smaller snakes, how we hope and pray that one day Thylacine’s, as well as Woolly Mammoths, are able to be cloned, and how we each consider ‘Finding Bigfoot’ to be a sore spot on the current state of Cryptozoology. Some may say that these topics don’t flow well together, but to that I say, wrong. This 1hr 21min conversation was pure fun and highly enjoyable.

So if you are a fan of Bigfoot conspiracy theories, lake monsters that may dwell between Wisconsin and Minnesota, or the fairy folk of Ireland, this episode is for you!
